More vegan dishes in our dining halls

The amount of meat consumed is twice as high as recommended by the the German Nutrition Society (DGE). There is a worldwide meat production of 321 million tons per year. Surveys prove: Eating too much meat is not healthy. Also for those who like eating meat, enjoying occasional vegan dishes can have positive effects, e.g. on the climate, on animal protection and on their health.

On occasion of this year’s World Vegan Day on 1 November Studierendenwerk can announce good news to all who are interested in vegan diet: There will be a vegan dish on the menu every day – either as stew for 1,80 € or at the vegetarian counter for 2,10 €.

We start our Vegan Special on Thursday, 2 November in the dining halls* with a delicious dish: Sweet potato stir-fry with pumpkin seeds and pesto rosso for 2,10 €.

Enjoy your meal!
