Certification of recognized vaccines from third countries

The University Medical Center is expanding its Covid-19-related services beginning next week.

Persons who have received a vaccination in a third country outside the EU are often faced with the challenge of proving the equivalence of their vaccination protection according to the criteria of the European Union. Paul-Ehrlich-Institut provides relevant information regarding the equivalence of vaccines at https://www.pei.de/impfstoffe/covid-19.

The University Medical Center now offers to issue a corresponding certificate for vaccinations with an equivalent vaccine in order to support a smooth process during the 3G examination at RWTH. This certificate is recognized (exclusively) within the RWTH and by Studierendenwerk facility as a vaccination card. Currently, especially persons who have received vaccinations with the product Covishield are addressed here. If the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut recognizes further products, this list will be extended accordingly. For persons who have been vaccinated in third countries with one of the four products approved in the EU, a certificate is not required.

A certificate can be issued at the Vaccination Center of the University Hospital RWTH Aachen on the following dates:

  7 September, 9 to 11 a.m.
  8 September, 9 to 11 a.m.
  9 September, 9 to 11 a.m.
16 September, 9 to 11 a.m.
23 September, noon to 2 p.m.

After 23 September 2021, Vaccination Center hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursdays. Advance registration is not required.

The Vaccination Center is located in the University Hospital, conference room, floor E, corridor 03 by elevator B2.
