Price adjustment in the dining halls as of 1 January
Due to changes in the legal framework, we are required to adjust prices in our dining halls as of 1 January 2022. This means that we will increase the guest charge for the first time in over twelve years.
In order not to further burden our students - who contribute a not inconsiderable portion of their semester fees to finance the meals - our Administrative Board has decided to adjust the prices exclusively for guests who do not pay semester fees. Due to our orientation as a social service provider specifically for students, we consider this, in agreement with our Administration, to be a fair solution.
The adjustment provides for the following meal prices as of 1 January 2022:
*Guests which are no university members.
(For trainees the student price and for scholarship holders the university employee price applies).
For all other dishes at the special counters (pasta, pizza, wok, grill, burger, baked potato, take away salads, sandwich, finger food, special offer dishes, etc.), there will be a charge of €2 for university employees and €2.50 for external guests.
The extra charge for university employees can only be charged via paying with the guest card for RWTH employee or employee ID of FH Aachen (FH card) . When paying with the non-personalized guest card or student guest card, the surcharge for external guests is also automatically calculated for university employee. Therefore, we kindly ask to apply for the right card needed.
