Bonjour chers collègues!

As part of the city partnership between Aachen and Reims, Studierendenwerk received a visit from colleagues from CROUS Reims. This return visit followed on from the Aacheners' stay in Reims in May, during which they got to know the structures and services of the CROUS and were able to strengthen international relations.

The 26 CROUS centers in France are the French equivalent of the German student unions. They are also responsible for the social support of students and offer a wide range of services, including halls of residence, dining halls and various advisory services.

In Aachen, the French delegation led by Crous Director Raymond Carrasset was given a tour of the historic town hall by Mayor Margrethe Schmeer. The colleagues then visited Bistro Templergraben, ESStw cafeteria, various administrative areas, Mensa Academica's kitchen and the student accommodation towers in Rütscher Straße. All in all, it was a successful exchange, which will now take place at regular intervals both in Aachen and in Reims.
