New hygiene concept in dining halls

Despite a renewed rise in the number of infections, we want to continue the emergency supply for students for as long as possible. It is important to offer employees and guests the highest possible protection.
Due to the current developments and the possible start of a "third wave", we have had to adapt our hygiene concept for the dining halls once again. This means that from now on only a maximum of two guests can be served in Mensa Academica and a maximum of four guests can be served in Mensa Vita at the same time. This is intended to avoid queues, at least within the buildings.
Furthermore, the directions in Mensa Academica will change to significantly shorten the time spent inside the building. The serving area and Infopoint can now only be reached via the entrance on the right side (burger bar), and the revolving door at Pontwall can only be used as an exit. We ask all guests to follow the signs on site.
In addition, from now on all visitors must check their payment cards for validity in order to avoid unnecessary delays at the cash desk. A card reader has been installed at the entrance for this purpose. Students can get help with invalid BlueCards at the Infopoint.
Only with the help of these measures we can maintain the offer with a clear conscience and contribute to stem the spread of infection. We are aware that there may be an increased number of guests due to queues on the outdoor area. Therefore, we continue to ask obeying the distance rule and wearing face masks.
