Aachen university canteens open again

At last! After about three months of closure due to the pandemic, we are resuming operations at our dining halls. The opening will take place gradually and will start on Monday, 22 June, with a to-go service in the Mensa Academica and in the Mensa Vita.

Mensa Academica is open on weekdays from 11:30 am to 3 pm and Mensa Vita from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Both sell take-away food only. Operations will be carried out in compliance with all the necessary protective and hygiene measures and will be limited to the serving area on the ground floor of the Academica Mensa. A new guidance system will be used for customer traffic. For the time being, it will not be possible to eat and drink on the terraces and the entire outdoor area.

As before the COVID 19 pandemic, payment will be made exclusively with BlueCard, FH card, guest card and student guest card. The choice of food will be limited, but will be based on the facilities' previous offerings. As usual, the daily updated menus can be found at www.studierendenwerk-aachen.de.

The Studierendenwerk asks all guests to consider the measures on site in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
