FISU World University Games 2025:
Promotional meals in the canteens from 24 to 26 June

Together with the University Sports Center (HSZ), the Studierendenwerk invites you to an exciting week of activities in its canteens, which is all about the upcoming “FISU World University Games” - the largest international university sports games in which students from all over the world compete against each other in various disciplines.

This year, the games will take place in the vibrant Ruhr region. The German university sports centers are actively involved in promoting the event and are presenting the participating countries as part of campaign days.

The HSZ in Aachen has chosen Costa Rica as its sponsor country. Support for the campaign days comes from the Studierendenwerk: from June 24 to 26, the canteens will be transformed into culinary ambassadors for the Central American country. In addition to an information stand with a wheel of fortune, students can expect delicious local dishes and exotic cocktails. Not only can they learn more about the exciting sporting events, they can also immerse themselves in the rich culture of the host country.

Highlight for young sports fans
The FISU World University Games are the Olympic Games for students - only with even more energy, drive and team spirit. Young talents compete here in disciplines such as athletics, swimming and basketball. A real highlight for all sports enthusiasts and those who want to become one. With this event, the HSZ and Studierendenwerk want to awaken and demonstrate the desire for exercise: The games are about much more than just sport - they are about friendship, culture and lots of fun. So kick off a week full of information, delicious regional cuisine and sporting enthusiasm!
