Quality management recertified again!

To ensure that guests and employees feel comfortable and safe in the dining halls of Studierendenwerk, the dining department regularly has its quality and safety standards put through their paces. Following the initial TÜV certification of quality management in 2015, our colleagues can now look forward to successful recertification for the third time!

The “recertification TÜV audit of quality management in the dining sector” is a complex and lengthy process that the Studierendenwerk's dining department has to undergo every three years in order to retain the TÜV certificate. From kitchens and storage areas to changing rooms, all areas of the facilities are meticulously inspected for compliance with the required DIN standard. Regular monitoring audits serve as preparation for this inspection phase.

While all dining facilities were tested for hygiene standards, occupational safety and processing procedures in 2015, the TÜV  evaluates individual StW catering areas on a random basis during recertification. This time, Mensa Bayernallee, Mensa Eupener Straße and the cafeteria ESStw were inspected. All “test subjects” passed the recertification with flying colors. Head of the dining department Arnold Mattes praises the strong performance of his teams: “A really great job - every single one of them contributed to this success!”
