Studierendenwerk Aachen part of the DSW Board
At the beginning of December, the manager of Studierendenwerk Aachen, Dirk Reitz, was elected to the Board of DSW (Deutsches Studentenwerk) for the second time.
Since 2012, Prof. Dr. Dieter Timmermann, education economist and former rector of Bielefeld University, has been the head of the board. He was elected for a third term by round about 150 delegates of the Studentenwerke. He will be president in 2016 and 2017.
The Board of DSW consists of three university professors, three students and three Studierendenwerk managers. 58 Studierendenwerke from all over Germany belong to DSW.
The DSW Board in the term 2016/2017:
- Prof. Dr. Dieter Timmermann, Bielefeld, President (as before)
- Prof. Dr. Andrea Klug, President of Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden (as before)
- Andreas Spranger, Dresden (new)

- Prof. Dr. Elmar Heinemann, Rector of Schmalkalden University (as before)
