World Blood Cancer Day in Mensa Academica

Save lives with a cotton swab: On this year’s World Blood Cancer Day on 28 May the student initiative AIAS Aachen organizes a DKMS typification day in Mensa Academica.

Every fifteen minutes a person in Germany is diagnosed with blood cancer and is in need of a stem cell donation. But: Only one in ten patients finds a matching donor who can save his or her life. Since 2015, the student members of AIAS Aachen have been calling on students to enter the international registry of stem cell donors.

Special day in Mensa Academica
On the World Blood Cancer Day AIAS members will be in Mensa Academica: On Tuesday, 28 May from 11:30 am everybody who is interested gets information about becoming a stem cell donor and can even take a cell sample right there: Complete the form, collect a sample with a cotton swab, ready!
